A comic operetta by Jacques Offenbach is just right for an autumn evening. From the composer of the "Can-Can" comes another light-hearted musical treat based on the old mythical love-story between Helene and Paris. Full of brilliant music and familiar tunes!

Kentish Opera's GLORIOUS production of La Traviata was sumptuous in all ways. Sally Langford once again gathered her cast and crew together to bring Sevenoaks audiences a perfect Traviata….

Kentish Opera performed this gala at both the Bromley and Shephard's Colleges and at the Stag Theatre. Both galas were a collection of magically themed opera excerpts, fully staged and costumed, with professional soloists and the Kentish Opera Chorus.

From the dramatic opening scene, which is due to the fabulous costumes by Carol Stevenson, set design by Enid Strutt and lighting by Colin Martin, this "Macbeth" was a splendid production! Every "lead" is strong and there was a thrilling stage presence by all of them. Terry John Bates and his crew, including the wonderful orchestra conducted by Robyn Sevastos, all combined to make an unmissable evening of Opera.

Kentish Opera has enjoyed a close association with ENO for many years and in 2011 shared its 60th Anniversary with ENO's 80th.

David Parry (our Patron - on the left) conducted the LPO on the Symphony Barge during the Queen's Jubilee celebrations
